Meet Our Founder
STEEV WILSON
Steev Wilson is an award-winning architect who is always more interested in the next project and design puzzle than he is self promotion, but his marketing team told him it was important and this is the one place he has to, so here we go…
Steev Wilson founded SWAG around one principle: leave your ego at the door. In doing so, he created a professional environment where all ideas are exchanged and explored, where everyone is a member of the design team (client included), and where a work-life balance is top priority. In addition, community is highly valued at SWAG, where Steev leads his team to actively engage with and give back to the communities they work in. In an industry notorious for its immense egos, Steev has built SWAG to be unique in that success is found most often by leaving that particular industry standard behind.
Because of this culture-driven approach, Steev and his team create the most stunning, custom architecture that is individually inspired by each client, their project, and their community. Steev is known for his innovative thinking, active client involvement, and action-driven dynamic. With an innate desire to understand exactly how things work, he continues to find ways to make the most unimaginable projects become reality.
Before SWAG, Steev was the founding partner of Forum Phi, a nationally-recognized multi-disciplinary design firm known for its extensive portfolio of architecture, interior design, and land planning services. With Steev leading the way, Forum Phi saw rapid growth and notoriety year after year as Outside Magazine's Best Place to Work, Aspen Chamber Resort Association’s Business of the Year, Aspen Time’s Best Architect Firm and Best Place to work; and, on the Luxe Gold List and Colorado Homes & Lifestyle Magazine’s Fabulous List, as well as making the esteemed PSMJ’s Circle of Excellence.
Steev’s reputation and work speaks for itself with brag rights also to include having designed Mountain Living Magazine’s Home of the Year 2021, as Mountain Living Top Architect year after year, features in Aspen Magazine, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles Magazine, Luxe Magazine, and as 2017 AIA Young Architect of the Year and Colorado Homes & Lifestyles 2017 Top Five Designers Under 40.
